Ian Patterson and his Birds of Prey visit St. Joseph’s

15th Mar 2022

Primary One have been learning about nocturnal animals. Their favourite nocturnal animal so far has been the owl. Therefore, the boys and girls got a huge surprise today when Talba and Fluffy the owls had come to visit them. 🦉

Ian spoke to all of the classes and taught them about his birds. The children learnt new facts, asked Ian questions about his birds and some were feeling very brave and even held the birds.

Fun Fact- It takes Ian 1 year to train his owls in his garden at home, however to train the owls for school visits takes 5 years!!

Thank you, Ian! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
